A medical second opinion is an independent evaluation of your diagnosis, treatment plan, or medical condition by another qualified physician. It provides additional expert insight to help you think through your options before a major medical decision, or when diagnoses are uncertain.

You submit your medical records through our secure portal. We match your case with a U.S. board-certified specialist in the relevant field. That specialist independently reviews your records and delivers a written second opinion report within 14 days. The report covers their assessment of your diagnosis, the evidence base for the proposed treatment, alternative approaches, and any recommended follow-up.

No. The entire process is remote. You submit records digitally, and the specialist delivers a written report. There are no video calls required for the Document Review service. Your records speak for themselves.

A U.S. second opinion is independent. The specialist has no referral relationship with your Indian doctor and no financial stake in your treatment. U.S. specialists follow NCCN, ACC/AHA, and other evidence-based guideline frameworks, and have access to clinical trial protocols not yet widely available in India. The entire review is delivered remotely, without travel.

No. Tidbit Health provides an advisory second opinion only. All final medical decisions remain with you and your treating physician in India. The second opinion is a tool to help you and your doctor discuss options with greater confidence.

The most useful records are your diagnostic reports (biopsy, pathology, blood work), imaging studies (MRI, CT, X-ray, echocardiogram, angiogram, ideally as digital files or CD), the proposed treatment or surgical plan from your specialist, and a brief clinical summary. The more complete the records, the more precise the second opinion.

Submit what you have. Our team will review your submission and let you know if any critical documents are missing before assigning the case to a specialist. For many conditions, a second opinion can still be delivered with partial records, though a full record set produces the most useful report.

After completing the booking, you will receive a secure upload link. You can upload PDF reports, JPEG/PNG images, and DICOM files (standard imaging format). For large imaging files like angiograms, you can ship a CD and we will arrange digitization.

Yes. All records are encrypted in transit and at rest. Your information is shared only with the specialist assigned to your case and is never sold or used for any purpose other than delivering your second opinion. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

Our Document Review service provides a written second opinion from a U.S. board-certified specialist based on your submitted medical records. Custom Consultation packages with a video call are also available. Contact us for current pricing.

Payment is in USD. Indian patients can pay using international credit or debit cards. All transactions are processed securely through Stripe.

If a specialist cannot be matched for your case, you will receive a full refund. Once a specialist has been assigned and the review is underway, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact us via WhatsApp with any payment questions.

Most second opinions are delivered within 14 days of submitting your complete medical records. Urgent cases, such as pre-surgical decisions with a hard deadline, can often be prioritized. Indicate the urgency in your submission and our team will contact you.

You receive a written report in PDF format. It is structured as a formal medical document covering the specialist's clinical impression, review of the evidence, comparison to U.S. clinical guidelines, and specific recommendations or alternative approaches. It is written to be shared with your treating physician.

Take the report back to your treating physician for a shared discussion. Many patients find the U.S. opinion confirms their local diagnosis, which is itself reassuring. When it differs, it gives you a documented basis for exploring alternatives. Our team is available by email if you have questions about the report's contents.

Yes. All physicians on our platform are board-certified in their specialty in the United States. Board certification requires passing rigorous national examinations after completing residency training. It is the recognized standard for specialist competency in the U.S.
